The Big String and The Big Blast are back!

We’re delighted to announce that bookings are open for The Big String, which will take place on Monday the 21st and Tuesday the 22nd of February, and the Big Blast, which will run from Wednesday the 23rd to Thursday the 24th. Both projects are open for musicians of all ages and abilities across the county, with The Big String accepting players from pre-grade 1 to post-grade 8, and The Big Blast open to players from grade 1 to post-grade 8. This year, The Big String concert will be held at Tewkesbury Abbey, and The Big Blast will have their concert at Blackfriars Priory in Gloucester.

In honour of GAM’s 40th anniversary in 2022, The Big String will include a world premiere of a specially commissioned piece by composer Jeff Moore.
