About Percussion Ensemble

Percussion Ensemble gives young musicians the opportunity to develop their percussion skills while making music together. This new ensemble is open to percussionists aged 10–18, from Grade 1 upwards.

Students will explore a varied range of exciting music and learn how to work together as an ensemble, developing their timing, listening, musicality and confidence along the way. No previous ensemble experience is needed.

We will supply a range of percussion instruments including marimba, timpani, xylophone, vibraphone, glockenspiel and drum kit. Students will have the opportunity to explore different sounds and styles including traditional, contemporary and world percussion music all whilst building their skills alongside other young musicians. There will also be opportunities to perform as part of GAM's wider programme of concerts and events.
