Comedy, poetry and piano came together at Barbican House as Alistair McGowan joined Gloucestershire Academy of Music students and teachers for a special fundraising evening.

On Sunday evening, Barbican House welcomed comedian, impressionist, poet and pianist Alistair McGowan for a very special fundraising event in support of Gloucestershire Academy of Music.

Performing his unique 3 in 1 show, Alistair entertained the audience with a combination of comedy, poetry and piano music, bringing together the many talents for which he is so well known.

One particularly special moment came when students and teachers from Gloucestershire Academy of Music joined Alistair on stage to perform the second movement of Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No. 2. It was a wonderful opportunity for our musicians to perform alongside Alistair and a memorable moment for everyone involved.

We are incredibly grateful to Alistair for making the evening possible, as well as everyone who bought tickets and supported the event. Proceeds from both ticket sales and the bar will help support the future of Gloucestershire Academy of Music and our mission of creating unforgettable musical experiences for everyone.
