Join us in the Forest of Dean in summer 2025 for six action-packed days of music making and exciting outdoor activities such as a zip wire and climbing wall!

The Junior Music Course for children aged 8-14, playing at Grades 1-5, will run from Sunday 27 July – Friday 1 August.

The Senior Music Course for ages 11-18, playing at Grade 5 and above, will run from Sunday 3 August to Friday 8 August.

With daily musical workshops led by professional musicians, plus active team challenges run by Deanfield Outdoor Centre staff, this is a unique opportunity to improve your instrumental skills, make new friends and build confidence.

These fully residential courses at Deanfield Outdoor Centre, a residential outdoor education centre near Lydney, will include 24/7 pastoral care from our welfare team.

As well as the outdoor activities, to include a stream walk and a low ropes course, there will also be fun evening activities such as a film night and a quiz.

Both the Senior Music Course and the Junior Music Course will culminate in a concert for family and friends in St Paul’s church, Parkend at 4pm on the final day of the course.

We will also run our annual Grade 5 Theory Course (4 -8 August) and Summer Piano Course (dates TBC) non-residential courses during the school summer holiday at Barbican House in Gloucester.
