Kimmy to inspire next young musician of the year

Gifted Kimmy Kwok will be inspiring a new generation of violinists when she launches the 2023 Gloucestershire Young Musician of the Year contest at her winner’s concert in Pittville Pump Room on Sunday 20th November at 3pm.  The 16-year-old Cheltenham College student will be performing Bruch’s famous Violin Concerto in G Minor with Gloucestershire Symphony Orchestra under Glyn Oxley’s baton.  Tickets are free …

GAM announced as county council chairman’s Charity of the Year

Chair of the county council, Councillor Alan Preest, has chosen a musical venture which began life in the Forest of Dean 40 years ago as his Charity of the Year. The former Forest bandsman from Lydney has adopted GAM, founded in 1982 in the Churcham kitchen of musician Caroline Lumsden. Music will be put at the top of the agenda …

GAM starts on 17th September

We look forward to welcoming back our students next Saturday. Due to the royal funeral on Monday, we will not be holding our first Senior Department on Monday 19th. Instead, we have put in an additional Monday session on 7th November.
